What is Margin?

Margin is used in Forex/CFD Trading to allow a trader to take positions of a higher value than the amount of funds in their trading account.

The amount is not borrowed money but part of the balance to ensure that there are funds in the account to cover for the losses in terms of volatile market conditions.

It is often interchangeably used with "leverage".
